Volunteers: The Heart of Lakes Life Care

Volunteers are the driving force behind everything we do at Lakes Life Care Center. Your time, talents, and dedication make our life-saving ministry possible.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit different skills and schedules. If you don’t see something that fits your interests here, feel free to stop by the center or give us a call. We’d love to discuss how you can be part of our mission!


Volunteer Opportunities

Baby Boutique

  • Organize, clean, and sort clothing, furnishings, and other donations for our Baby Boutique.
  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability and donation volume.

Mailings and Special Projects

  • Help assemble direct mailings or assist with other occasional projects.
  • Perfect for those looking for a flexible, as-needed commitment.

Earn While You Learn (EWYL) Teacher

  • Provide one-on-one support for women and families using our pre-made lesson plans on pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
  • No experience required—training provided!
  • Requires a regular schedule commitment for at least one year.
  • Must be a mother to apply. 

Dad's Support Group

  • Mentor young fathers, offering guidance and practical advice using ready-made materials focused on fatherhood.
  • Training provided; regular scheduling commitment requested.
  • Must be a father to apply 

Cleaning Crew

  • Help keep our center clean, welcoming, and professional for clients.
  • Commit to one session per month (approximately two hours).
  • Supplies and training provided.

Pregnancy Counselor

  • Receive specialized training to provide one-on-one support to clients in crisis, helping them explore life-affirming solutions.
  • Requires a weekly commitment; start with our EWYL program if you’d like to ease into this role.

Medical Team

  • Join our team of medical professionals offering limited obstetrical ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, and STI testing.
  • Roles are available for nurses, doctors, and sonographers.
  • Time commitment varies depending on availability and center needs. 

Church Liaison

  • Act as the communication link between Lakes Life Care and your congregation.
  • Share updates, event announcements, and material needs.
